ST. CLAIR MEN'S BASKETBALL HEAD COACHING CHANGE

WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair College Athletic Department has chosen to part ways with men's basketball head coach Luc Stevenson for philosophical differences and the change takes effect immediately. Taking over as the interim head coach for the remainder of the season will be former women's basketball head coach and St. Clair alumnus Jimmy Parsons.

The Saints men's basketball team lost four of their first five games in the OCAA's west region and currently sit in a tie for sixth place with a 4-5 record heading into the holiday break. Including exhibition play, St. Clair's men hold a 10-9 record.

Parsons was a four-year standout player at St. Clair and still ranks No. 5 on the Saints all-time scoring list. He was also named an all-Canadian in the 1997-98 season and inducted into the OCAA hall of fame as a member of the all-millennium team.

Parsons then took over as the St. Clair women's basketball head coach in 2005 leading the Saints to six consecutive playoff appearances and a provincial silver medal in the 2009-10 season. Parsons holds a career record of 48-32 in regular season play was recognized as the west region coach of the year (2005-06) and the St. Clair inter-collegiate coach of the year in 2009-10.
