The stars will be shining over Seneca College this weekend as
the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) holds its 13th
Annual Volleyball All-Star Game at Seneca this Saturday, January
14, 2006.
The game(s) pits all-stars from the Central East & East region
versus the all-stars from the Central West & West region in a
best of-five-volleyball match. A total of forty-eight players
representing twenty Colleges from across Ontario have been selected
to compete at the event.
The women’s competition is set for 3:30PM, with the
men’s competition following at 5:30PM. All events will be
held at the Seneca College Sports Centre.
The event will also feature an OCAA Coaches Clinic with Stelio Di
Rocco, Senior Men’s National Team Coach and an opportunity
for both the men’s and women’s teams to practice with
the OCAA All-Star coaches and National Team Coach.
The men’s competition will be well represented as the
league’s leading scorer, Brett Dailey of Seneca (5.27 PPG)
leads the East with a powerful contingent at his side featuring
Eric Talsma of Georgian (5.26 PPG), Dave Crabbe of Durham (5.00
PPG) and Quenton Skinner of Loyalist (4.37 PPG). Meanwhile the West
will look to the talent of James Smyth from St.Clair (4.08 PPG) and
