CANADORE 3, TRENT 1

NORTH BAY, Ont. - The Canadore Panthers men's varsity volleyball team got their first win of the regular season, and the only Panther win of the day in the Education Centre Gym.

The top scorer for Canadore was Dan Trudel with 22 points including 20 kills.

After being down in the third set by seven points by a score of 24-17, the Panthers rallied back and won that set 29-27 to advance their lead to 2-1 and gave the men the motivation to finish the game.

"It was a hard fought game, starting off with some shaky passing but once my team settled down, they were able to bring the passing together and run our middle which allowed us to score through them," commented Canadore head coach Tim Ryan.

"We rallied well and when it came to crunch time, we were behind how many points?" asked player of the game, David Mann, referring to their third-set deficit. "Our team picked it up and came back for that big win and we read it from there and were able to capitalize."
