FANSHAWE 3, REDEEMER 1

ANCASTER, Ont. - On Saturday, the Fanshawe men's volleyball team defeated the Redeemer Royals (10-7) in four sets in front of a packed Royals gym. The win now has Fanshawe sitting in third place in the OCAA West Division standings.

Fanshawe took the first set of the match 25-20 but the Royals battled back and stole the second set 25-23. Fanshawe refocused and won the third set convincingly 25-16.

Fanshawe's David Aucoin and Mike Liscumb came up huge off the bench for the Falcons in the fourth set. Fanshawe won the fourth by a final score of 25-23.

Mathieu Poulin had a team-high 25 points for the Falcons.

The Falcons head to Sheridan College to take on the Bruins (7-10) this Wednesday for their final regular season game of the year. With a win, Fanshawe can lock up second place in the OCAA West Division standings and head directly to the OCAA provincial championship hosted by Georgian College, Feb. 20-22.
