WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair College men's volleyball team opened their OCAA regular season schedule this past weekend with a pair of home games at the new Sportsplex.

On Friday, the Saints hosted the defending OCAA champion Mohawk Mountaineers. St. Clair played well but suffered a tough 3-2 loss. Set scores for Mohawk were 21-25, 25-22, 27-25, 21-25, and 15-10. Dave Binder had a solid match for St Clair with 11 kills, two service aces, and six digs.

On Sunday afternoon, St. Clair hosted Niagara College and came away with a convincing 3-0 win. Set scores for St. Clair were 25-18, 25-21 and 25-14. Fifth-year setter Josh Lynch spread the ball around well with five players having between seven and 10 kills. Jason Hernandez led the way with 10 kills, one stuff block and 22 digs.

The Saints are next in action when they host Conestoga College on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 3 p.m. at the Sportsplex.
