HUMBER 3, MOHAWK 2

HAMILTON, Ont. - In a battle of the undefeated, the Humber Hawks scored a big time comeback to defeat the Mohawk Mountaineers 19-25, 20-25, 27-25,25-19, 16-14 in OCAA men's volleyball at the David Braley Athletic and Recreation Centre on Saturday.

Humber's Terrel Bramwell was a terror on the floor with 26 of his team's 50 kills and added a pair of stuff blocks. Patrick Richardson had 36 assists for the Hawks, as well as five stuff blocks and a serving ace.

For the Mountaineers, Charlie Hancock collected 15 kills, one ace and one block. Adam Schiedel had 10 kills and two blocks and Mark Kaveckas came up with 43 assists.

The Mountaineers appeared headed to a three-game sweep of the Hawks, but Humber fashioned a late rally in the third set and went on to victory.

Humber is now 5-0 and is bound to take over the top ranking in the OCAA from Mohawk, now 5-1.

The Mohawk women became the first OCAA team in a year and a half to take a set from Humber, but the Hawks still came up with a 25-24, 24-26, 25-20, 25-15 win over the Mountaineers.

Thalia Hanniman scored 12 kills, three aces and one block to lead Humber. Brittany Vanderlaan produced 32 assists.

Kirsten Bialachowski had eight kills and Lynsay Collette added 17 assists for the Mountaineers.

Humber is now 5-0 and Mohawk is 2-4.
