ST. CLAIR 3, SHERIDAN 1

OAKVILLE, Ont. - The St. Clair College men's volleyball team continued their OCAA regular season schedule this past weekend when they travelled to the Toronto area to take on Sheridan and Humber.

On Saturday, the Saints faced Sheridan and defeated the Bruins 3-1. Set scores for St. Clair were 25-21, 25-23, 22-25 and 25-16. Jason Hernandez led the way for St Clair with 18 kills, three stuff blocks, one service ace and seven digs. With the loss Sheridan's record fell to 5-2 on the season.

On Sunday, the Saints faced the top ranked Humber Hawks and lost in three sets. Set scores for Humber were 27-25, 25-22 and 25-19. Dave Binder had a solid match for the Saints with nine kills, two service aces, one stuff block and seven digs. With the win Humber improved its record to 6-1 on the season. Humber is currently ranked No. 1 in Ontario and No. 4 in Canada.

With the split matches, the St. Clair men are now 6-2 on the season and remain tied for first place in the OCAA West Division. The Saints are currently ranked No. 5 in Ontario.

The Saints are next in action when they travel to London on Saturday to take on Fanshawe at 3 p.m. in their final match of the semester.
