ST. CLAIR 3, CAMBRIAN 0

SUDBURY, Ont. - The St. Clair College men's volleyball team continued their OCAA regular season schedule this past weekend when they travelled to Sudbury, Ont., to take on the Cambrian Golden Shield and Boréal Viperes.

On Saturday, the Saints took on Cambrian and came away with a close 3-0 match win. Set scores for St. Clair were 25-23, 25-20 and 25-23. Dave Binder had a good match for St Clair with 10 kills on 15 attempts and three digs. With the loss Cambrian's record fell to 1-3 on the season.

On Sunday, the Saints faced Boréal and pulled off a convincing 3-0 win. Set scores for St. Clair were 25-16, 25-10, and 25-15. Rookie middle Stephen Carter had a solid match for St Clair with four kills, three stuff blocks and one dig. With the loss Boréal's record fell to 0-4 on the season.

With both wins the St. Clair men are now 4-1 on the season and tied for first place in the OCAA west division. The Saints are currently ranked sixth in Ontario.

The Saints are next in action when they host the Redeemer University Royals at the Sportsplex on Saturday at 3 p.m. in their final home match of the semester.
