ST. CLAIR 3, SHERIDAN 1

WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair College men's volleyball team continued their OCAA regular season schedule when they hosted the Sheridan Bruins at the Sportsplex on Sunday afternoon.

St. Clair played a solid match and came away with a solid 3-1 win. Set scores for St. Clair were 25-21, 20-25, 25-18 and 25-23.

The Saints attack was well balanced with five players reaching double digits in points including Connor West with 11, Dave Binder with 12, Peter Christian with 10 and Travis Wigle with 12.

Jason Hernandez led the way for St Clair with 18 kills, one ace and five digs. Josh Rankine played some great defence leading the Saints with 12 digs.

With the win the Saints improved to 9-3 on the season while Sheridan fell to 9-6. St. Clair is currently ranked sixth in Ontario while Sheridan is ranked fourth in Ontario and 14th in Canada. St. Clair currently sits in third place in the OCAA west division; however the Saints have games in hand on most of the division.

The Saints are next in action on Saturday, Jan. 31 when they host the top-ranked Humber Hawks at 3 p.m. at the Sportsplex.
