TORONTO - The West Division champion Fanshawe Falcons moved one step closer to an OCAA championship, sweeping the Trent Excalibur 25-14, 25-20, 25-21.

The match was never in question for the No. 2 nationally-ranked Falcons as they executed their game plan from the match's opening serve.

A clear advantage at the net, the Falcons had a team attack percentage of .369 compared to the Excalibur's .120. Defensively, the Falcons held a 36-28 advantage in team digs as they were led by a balanced attack.

Nate Van Camp had a team-high eight kills for the Falcons along with eight digs. James Jackson recorded seven kills and seven digs while Derek Braun recorded seven kills. OCAA Rookie of the Year Sebastian Lethbridge had 31 assists.

The Excalibur were led by OCAA East All-Star Christian Zimmer who had seven kills. Jacob Bothen was next with five kills. Nate Koopman had a team-high seven digs to go along with Alex Campagnola's six digs and 19 assists.

The Falcons advance to the OCAA semifinal where they will face the winner of Seneca and Sheridan Friday at 8 p.m. The Excalibur move to the consolation bracket where they will face the loser of the Seneca-Sheridan match-up, Friday at 3 p.m.
