DURHAM 71, ST. LAWRENCE (K) 50 (FINAL)

KINGSTON, Ont. – Kelsey Hare of the Durham College women's basketball team scored 35 points in a 71-50 Lords road victory over the St. Lawrence Vikings on Wednesday night.

The 35-point performance was three points shy of the Durham College single game scoring record of 38, which was set by Durham College graduate Jenn Hevey on October 16, 1998.

Hare finished the night with 35 points and 12 rebounds which were both season highs. It was her fourth double-double in six games, as she is now averaging 18.1 points and 9.8 rebounds per game.

Two other Lords had double-doubles as Erin Emery had 16 points and 17 rebounds while Kerriann Sullivan had 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Emery now has 877 career points and is within striking distance of Bonnie Slaughter who has the current Durham College all-time scoring record with 886 points.

The Lords next home game is on Friday, December 2 against the George Brown Huskies at 6 p.m. Fans are encouraged to donate a toy at the game in support of the Sick Kids foundation.

Durham is now 3-3 and in a tie with the Loyalist Lancers for fourth place in the OCAA east region.
