DURHAM 65, CENTENNIAL 59 (FINAL)

OSHAWA, Ont. – After scoring only four points in the first quarter, the Durham College offence heated up for the rest of the night as they cruised to a 65-59 victory over the Centennial Colts.

Erin Emery of North Bay was Durham's leading scorer as she drained 26 points in the win. Emery now has 995 career points, five shy of the 1,000 mark. Only two other players in OCAA history have scored 1,000 points in a career. Emery also had six rebounds in the win.

Lords freshman Keriann Sullivan had 12 points in the win while Kelsey Hare had seven points and seven rebounds.

Kadeja Hughes had a team high 20 point performance for Centennial in the loss.

Free throws played a big part in the final result as the Lords scored 21 points from the line compared to just 11 by Centennial.

The Lords improve to 5-7 on the year and move into fifth place in the OCAA east region. Centennial falls to 3-9.

Durham will host Georgian College (4-7) on Friday, February 3 at 6 p.m. for varsity spirit night.
