Fanshawe (8-2) defeated St. Clair (5-5) by a score of 62-47.

In another hard fought game Fanshawe was able to pull away from St. Clair in the second quarter and build a small nine-point cushion and led 31-22 at halftime.

St. Clair cut the lead to just a single basket but Fanshawe regained control and pulled away in the fourth quarter.

Kendyl Rizea (Windsor) led the Saints with 15 points adding nine rebounds adding five steals while Bienka Jones (Tecumseh) reached double figures with 11 points to go with four steals.

Fanshawe's Felicia Mazerolle had 15 to pace her team in the win.

The Saints basketball teams host Niagara College at the Chatham Thames Campus Healthplex on Sunday, Jan. 13 with the women tipping off at 1 p.m. and men at 3 p.m. Both games will be televised on Cogeco Chatham.
