ST. CLAIR 4, MOHAWK 2

WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair College women's soccer team continued their winning streak by defeating the Mohawk Mountaineers 4-2 on Friday afternoon at the Main Campus Field on a cold and very windy day.

The Saints got off to a great start with Bella Riccardi scoring on a nice header in the second minute of play. St. Clair went up 2-0 in the 13th minute on a nice strike by Robyn Preston. Riccardi put the Saints up 3-0 in the 32nd minute of play. Mohawk got on the board in the 68th minute on a great strike from down the wing but St. Clair quickly responded in the 73rd minute on a penalty kick by Emily Ditty. Mohawk scored again in the 78th minute but that was a close as the Mountaineers would get.

The Saints are now 5-0 on the season and are tied for first place in the OCAA West Division with the Fanshawe Falcons. The Falcons are ranked second in Ontario while St. Clair is ranked fourth.

St. Clair is next in action on Sunday when they host the Conestoga Condors at 1 p.m. at the Main Campus Field. Conestoga is currently 1-4 on the season. St. Clair defeated the Condors 5-2 on Sept. 19 in Kitchener, Ont.

WINDSOR, Ont. - The Mohawk men's and women's soccer teams were both defeated at St. Clair College in Windsor, Ont., on Friday.

The Saints doubled the Mountaineers 4-2 in women's action.

Rachelle DeJong (Guido de Bres) and Gabrielle Krebs (Brebeuf) were the scorers for Mohawk.

The Saints improved to 5-0, while Mohawk slipped to 2-3.

The Mountaineer men had their record fall to 1-3-1, losing 1-0 to St. Clair (3-1-1).

Both Mohawk teams move on to Sarnia, Ont., on Saturday afternoon to face the Lambton Lions.
