SHERIDAN 3, NIAGARA 1 (FINAL)

The Niagara College Knights women's volleyball team won their second straight match with a 3-1 (25-13, 18-25, 25-15, 25-22) win over the Sheridan College Bruins in Welland on Wednesday night. With the win, the Knights record improves to 2-1, while the Bruins fall to 1-4.

Third-year middle Marieka Ouimette (Spencerville, Ont.) had a very strong game leading all scorers with 12 kills, two serving aces, and five blocks for a season-high 19 points. First-year outside hitter Lindsay Murray (Welland, Ont.) also reached double digits in scoring with seven kills, three serving aces, and one block for 11 points.

The Knights will begin a three-game road trip on Tuesday, November 22 when they travel to Kitchener to battle the Conestoga College Condors (2-2). Game time is 6 p.m. On November 25 and November 26, the Knights will be in North Bay, Ont., taking on the Canadore College Panthers (0-6) at 6 p.m. on Friday and the Nipissing University Lakers (5-1) at noon on Saturday.

The Knights next home game will take place on Thursday, December 1 when they face the Fanshawe College Falcons (4-1). Game time is 6 p.m. at Niagara College's new Athletic Centre.
