TRENT 3, LA CITE 0 (FINAL)

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - The Trent Women's volleyball got back to their winning ways as they downed the La Cite Coyotes 3-0 Friday night. The Excalibur looked impressive as they won by scores of 25-8, 25-13 and 25-12. With the win the Excalibur improve to 13-6 with one game remaining in the regular season.
 
Emma Schlegl (Ardrossan, Alta.) had 8 aces in the match and added five kills for a 13 point night.  Jessica Clancy (Woodbridge, Ont.) added five kills and five aces in the match for Trent, while Sarah MacLaren chipped in six kills, one ace and two blocks in the win.
 
The Excalibur were tough defensively on the night as well, allowing only 13 points of offense to La Cite.
 
Trent will wrap up the regular season February 11 when they host the Algonquin Thunder.  The match will take place at 1 pm with the winner moving into second place in the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association East Division. The Excalibur currently sit tied for second place with Algonquin, but two teams trail by two points and each has a game in-hand on Trent. The play-off seeding will be finalized at the completion of the league regular season on February 15.
