GEORGIAN 3, SENECA 1

BARRIE, Ont. - Looking for their third straight victory the Georgian Grizzlies women's volleyball team did not disappoint Sunday afternoon in front of their home fans at the Georgian Athletic Centre defeating the Seneca Sting 3-1.

The Grizzlies battled hard early and earned a well-deserved win in the first game by a 25-21 score and carried momentum into the second match winning 25-17.

Georgian tried to wrap up the game in the third set but the Sting showed their resilience winning the third game 25-20 but the Grizzlies were the better team this day winning the final set 25-15 to earn their fourth win of the OCAA season.

Allison Marshall was incredible in the match posting 19 kills while Veronica Harrison and Kelsey Buckley played key roles in the Grizzlies win posting nine digs each.

Seneca's Clare Weisser was impressive for the visiting team putting up 24 digs doing all she could for her side.

The Grizzlies will host two doubleheaders next weekend starting Saturday, November 24 when Georgian hosts Fleming with the women playing at 1 p.m. and the men at 3 p.m. Both teams will then wrap up the weekend on Sunday, November 25 when they host Trent at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
