GEORGIAN 3, GEORGE BROWN 0

TORONTO - Looking to complete a strong first half of the OCAA season, the Georgian Grizzlies women's volleyball team had an impressive 3-0 victory on the road against the George Brown Huskies.

The Grizzlies were able to jump out front thanks to some great efforts from Allison Marshall and Natalie Buck and won the first set 25-20.

In the second set the Huskies looked to get themselves back into the game and went up early but with the score 24-16 the Grizzlies dug deep staging an incredible comeback to take the set 27-25.

With all the momentum on their side the Grizzlies shut down the Huskies en route to a 25-16 set win and a clean sweep of the match.

Marshall led the team with 13 points while Buck followed close behind with 10 while Kelsey Buckley had nine for Georgian.

The Grizzlies finish the first half with a 7-3 record and have shown they will be a contender in the East Division currently sitting in fourth place.

Georgian will now have some time to rest and prepare for the second half of the season which gets underway on January 4-5 when the Grizzlies participate in the Durham Cup.
