GEORGIAN 3, GEORGE BROWN 1

The Georgian Grizzlies women's volleyball team continues to solidify their spot among the OCAA's elite teams.

Playing their final home game of the regular season, the Grizzlies defeated the George Brown Huskies 3-1 to improve their record on the season to 13-4.

The Grizzlies were able to pick up the first two sets 25-22 and 25-17 before the Huskies were able to rally to take the third 25-17.

That was as close as Georgian would let their visitors from Toronto get as they took the fourth set 25-14 to win the match.

Veronica Harrison had an impressive game with 13 digs to lead the team while Keswick native had 10 points (eight kills, two serving aces) along with 10 digs to help Georgian to their ninth win in their last 10 games.

The Grizzlies will wrap up their regular season with three road games on February 9 (Algonquin), February 10 (La Cite) and February 13 (Seneca).
