NIPISSING 3, ST. CLAIR 0

The St. Clair women's volleyball team had a good weekend as they split their matches on home court.

On Saturday, St. Clair hosted the Nipissing Lakers. The Lakers are ranked second in Ontario and 10th in Canada. Game scores were 25-15, 25-14, and 25-19. Setter Rachel Loch (Belle River) had a solid game for the Saints with three kills, one service ace, one stuff block and six digs.

On Sunday, the Saints bounced back and defeated the Canadore Panthers by a score of 3-0. Game scores for St. Clair were 25-14, 25-10, and 25-18. Alee Brecka (Massey) had a good match for the Saints with six kills, one service ace, two stuff blocks and eight digs. Rookie libero Harmony Krall (Riverside) had a great defensive match with 18 digs.

The women are now 4-13 on the season with one game remaining. Their final match will be Sunday, Feb. 10 at 1 p.m. at the St. Clair Gym against the Sheridan Bruins.
