DURHAM 3, LA CITE 0

OSHAWA, Ont. – The Durham College women's volleyball team earned their second win of the weekend with a 3-0 victory over the La Cite Coyotes on Saturday night at the CRWC.

Durham led from start to finish in the match as set scores in the sweep were 21-11, 25-10 and 25-15.

Setters Joelle Parnham (Orillia, Ont.) and Meghan Renwick (Brooklin, Ont.) did a great job of distributing the ball as seven Lords had at least one kill in the match. Parnham and Renwick would combine for 19 assists over the three-set victory.

For the second straight night, Jessica Broad (Courtice, Ont.) was the Lords leading scoring as she recorded eight kills, six aces and one block. Emily Gilbert (Whitby, Ont.) had four kills on seven attempts while recording four digs.

Tanya Carriere paced the Coyotes offence with a team-high four kills.

After starting the season 0-2, Durham is back to the .500 mark with a pair of wins over La Cite and Algonquin. The Lords will be back in action on Thursday night when they host the Fleming Knights. Game time at the CRWC is 6 p.m.
