WELLAND, Ont. - Thursday, Nov. 14 saw the Niagara College women's volleyball program improve to 4-2 on the season after defeating the Sheridan Bruins 3-0. The win moves the Knights into fourth place in the OCAA West Division.

Niagara College women's volleyball head coach Joey Martins called the performance "a great home court win" that saw the team "pass well, serve aggressively and keep the Bruins on their heels" throughout the match.

Leading the way offensively for Niagara was second-year sport management student Kayde Bailey. The 5-foot-9 Burlington native recorded a game-high 10 kills, while also adding a service ace and 14 digs.

In what Coach Martins describe as "the best game I've seen her play in a Knights uniform," second-year middle blocker Andrea Stoskopf finished the match with five kills, and three service aces. The Milton, Ont., native is currently enrolled in the Niagara College motive power technician program.

Up next for the Knights is a Wednesday, Nov. 20 match-up against the Redeemer Royals. The Knights are fully aware of how difficult it can be to win in the loud a boisterous Redeemer gymnasium. Coach Martins continued, "facing Redeemer in their home gym is tough, it's small, it's loud, and it's a great atmosphere. I think if we stick to our game plan we can come away with a victory."
