ST. CLAIR 3, SHERIDAN 0

WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair women's volleyball team had a good weekend as they split both of their matches at home.

On Saturday, the Sheridan Bruins travelled to Windsor to take on the Lady Saints. St. Clair handled the Bruins easily winning the match 3-0. Game scores for St. Clair were 25-13, 25-13 and 25-20. Rachel Rivers (Cambridge/Galt Collegiate) led the way offensively with nine kills, one ace and one stuff block.
 
On Sunday, the Saints had their hands full as they hosted the top-ranked Humber Hawks. The Hawks are undefeated so far this year and are ranked first in Ontario and fourth in Canada.

The Saints gave Humber all they could handle but ended up losing the match 3-1. Game scores for Humber were 23-25, 25-19, 26-24 and 25-20. It was only the second game Humber has lost all season.

It was a solid team effort for St. Clair with several players contributing. Sara Yablonsky (Windsor/St. Joseph's) had a strong game with six kills, three service aces and one stuff block. Humber's record improved to 7-0 with the win.

The St. Clair women are now 5-2 on the season and sit in third place in the OCAA West Division.

The Saints are next in action on Saturday when they travel to Ancaster to take on the Redeemer Royals.
