CANADORE 3, GEORGE BROWN 0

NORTH BAY, Ont. - The Canadore Panthers women's varsity volleyball team picked up a win in three straight sets today against the George Brown Huskies today at the Education Centre Gymnasium.

Scores were 25-20, 26-24, 25-15 in favour of Canadore. The Panthers top scorer was Liarra Marchand with 15 points, all on kills.

The Panther women, who beat the Huskies at the beginning of the season, proved that they can stay strong by defeating them for a second time in three straight sets. The Panthers have now won 10 games in three straight sets, with only one game left of the regular season.

Throughout the game, both Liza Grennon and Carrie Ryan were able to serve three service aces a piece. Individually, the Panthers players scored more than double the amount of points than by Huskies players.

Canadore head coach Stefanie Hancock commented, "We've enjoyed playing against George Brown all year, they're a great group of girls and their rookie left side played fantastic today. There were great moments today but I'm hoping bigger moments tomorrow."

Panthers player of the game Kayla Kosturik, added, "I think overall we played well today, even with a few changes in our line-up. When we can get some momentum going, we're able to make some great plays and we're hard to beat. Hopefully tomorrow we can pull together and finish our regular season on a positive note."
