GEORGIAN 3, LOYALIST 0

BELLEVILLE, Ont. - The Georgian Grizzlies men's and women's volleyball teams ended the first half of their OCAA seasons on a high note Saturday afternoon when they faced the Loyalist Lancers in Belleville, Ont.

Both teams were able to take their matches in straight sets 3-0 while having well rounded efforts.

In the women's match the Grizzlies were able to take it in sets of 25-12, 25-19 and 25-21.

Fifth-year veteran Hannah Campbell (Midland, Ont.) had a particularly strong match finishing with 17 points including four blocks. The four blocks were significant as it pushed her career total to over 200 and she became just the third player in OCAA history to achieve the feat.

The win was the Grizzlies sixth in a row and they finish the first half sitting atop the east division standings with an 8-1 record.

On the men's side the Grizzlies continue their upswing, putting together an impressive effort in straight set wins of 25-20, 25-14, and 25-17.

Jason Grimm (Orangeville, Ont.) led the way once again for the Grizzlies as he had a team-high 17 points including 12 kills.

After a slow start the Grizzlies have turned it on as of late winning three of their last four games putting themselves back into the playoff picture.

The Grizzlies have now moved up to seventh place in the east standings and are only one game out of fourth place.

Georgian's volleyball teams will now refocus and get some much needed rest as they will start their second half of the season on Jan. 7 when they host the Seneca Sting in two very important games for each team.
