DURHAM 3, GEORGE BROWN 0

TORONTO, Ont. - Coming off a huge victory at home on Wednesday, the Durham College women's volleyball team picked up their second sweep in as many games by defeating the George Brown Huskies 3-0 on Saturday afternoon.

The Lords opened with a 25-15 win in the first set, following that with dominant 25-7 second set win. George Brown had their best set in the third, but Durham still prevailed, this time 25-20.

Jessica Broad (Courtice, Ont.) led the team with seven kills and one service ace. Natalie Manicotto (Winnipeg, Man.) picked up five kills and two aces for the Lords.

Durham's next conference game is Friday, Feb. 6 against Algonquin. Fans will receive Maddie "Moose" Rae-White (Cobourg, Ont.) moose antlers at the game.

Fans at the men's game will receive Matt Gibson (Oshawa, Ont.) or Jeremy Hoekstra (Cobourg, Ont.) beards for Fear the Beard night.
