SUDBURY, Ont. - In possibly their worst outing of the early season, the Mohawk women's volleyball team were swept 18-25, 18-25, 17-25 by the Cambrian Golden Shield on Friday in Sudbury, Ont.

Brittany Gingrich was the Mountaineers top defender with four stuff blocks and 10 digs, to go along with three kills. On offence, Jesna Marmo had three kills and two service aces.

Mohawk, now 1-1 in OCAA play, will try to bounce back Saturday when they visit Boreal, also in the Nickel City, at 1 p.m.
