SEGUIN, OLESKY WIN HUMBER INVITATIONAL

George Brown's Liz Seguin ended Jocelyn Fry's bid for a fourth consecutive victory on the OCAA cross country circuit, winning the women's 5 km race by two seconds at the Humber Invitational last Saturday.

The previously unbeaten Fry of Fanshawe still took second place in a time of 18:54. Humber's Darian Limb placed third with a time of 19:05. Humber won the women's team title, with Fanshawe and St. Lawrence-Kingston placing second and third, respectively.

Fleming's Riley Olesky won the men's 8 km race in a time of 24:30, four seconds ahead of runner-up Sean Sweeney of George Brown. Humber's Andrew Cruickshank finished in third place with a time of 24:43.

Fanshawe, led by Daniel Bright's fourth best time of 24:52, took the men's team title. Humber and Fleming finished in second and third place, respectively.

The biggest race of the year takes place this Saturday as Algoma University plays host to the 2012 OCAA Cross Country Championships in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.
