ST. CLAIR CROSS COUNTRY STARTS SEASON WITH BANG

LONDON, Ont. - The St. Clair College cross country team competed at their first event of the season Saturday at the Fanshawe Invitational meet in London, Ont., taking home the women's individual championship and placing fifth in the men's team competition.

Second-year Saints runner Kodi Morgan placed first overall in the women's race in a time of 20:00 over the 5 km Fanshawe Conservation Area course. Donia Oumesrour placed fourth in a time of 20:57 and Amanda Matthews was seventh in a time of 21:15 for St. Clair.

On the men's side John Trojansek was fourth in a time of 27:04 leading the St. Clair men's team over the 8 km course. Other finishers for the Saints were Jordan Langridge (22nd place, 29:40), Matt Ward-Trymbaluk (24th place, 29:49), Chris Caddey (30th place, 30:42) and Forest Frair (43rd place, 33:45).

The St. Clair cross country team will be next competing in the Humber Invitational hosted by Humber College (Etobicoke, Ont.) Oct. 5.
