FENNELL FINISHES SIXTH AT PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIP

KING CITY, Ont. - For Georgian's Ryan Fennell it's been his goal all season. Be among the best OCAA cross country runners in the province and on Saturday he proved he is.

The native of Aurora, Ont., took part in the 2014 OCAA Cross Country Championships in King City, Ont., and continued his solid season with a sixth-place finish.

Fennell completed the challenging eight kilometre course in 28:51 finishing less than a minute behind the race's winner.

The Grizzlies team finished in 12th place overall with Evan Lynch (Alliston, Ont.) finishing 38th, James Commodore (Tiny, Ont.) finishing 61st, Chris Brittain (Collingwood, Ont.) finishing 87th, Clinton Todd (Oro-Medonte, Ont.) finishing 107th and Simon Harasym (Parry Sound, Ont.) rounding out the team in 115th.

Next up is the last remaining race of the season at the 2014 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Cross Country National Championship in Calgary from Nov. 6-8.
