FANSHAWE MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY TEAM WINS CCAA NATIONAL BRONZE MEDAL

BROCKVILLE, Ont. - The Fanshawe men's cross country team won the bronze medal at the CCAA national championships at St. Lawrence College in Brockville, Ont., on Saturday.

Seth Marcaccio was Fanshawe's lead runner, winning the CCAA silver medal. He finished in second place with a time of 26:24, only three seconds behind gold medal winner Rob Asselstine of St. Lawrence College.

Marcaccio was followed by Fanshawe's Ryan Foott, who finished 12th with a time of 27:13. Rounding out the Falcons runners were Josh Heuving (36th), Jamie McNorgan (37th), Caleb Trotter (63rd) and Kevin Pann (75th).

The Fanshawe men's program, led by head coach John Loney, has now won a team medal at 11 consecutive national championships. Marcaccio was named a CCAA all-Canadian and first-team all-star, while Foott was named a CCAA second-team all-star.
