The Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) officially
wrapped up it’s men’s and women’s soccer season
last night.
In both the men’s and women’s divisions, the top four
teams from the East and West regions advanced to the post-season,
competing in four regional crossover games with the winning teams
advancing to a final-four provincial championship, scheduled to
take place from October 26-27 hosted by Algonquin College in
Ottawa, ON.
On the men’s side, the Algonquin Thunder (Ottawa) and
Sheridan Bruins (Oakville) wrapped up their respective regional
titles and will host qualifying games on Saturday afternoon. The
George Brown Huskies (Toronto) and Fanshawe Falcons (London) will
also play host this weekend wrapping up the second position in
their regional standings.
In the women’s competition, the Durham Lords (Oshawa) and
Humber Hawks (Etobicoke) finished atop of their respective regions,
with the Algonquin Thunder and Fanshawe Falcons finishing in second
place. All four teams will host quarterfinal games that are set to
take place this weekend to determine the teams advancing to the
final-four championship.
