LA CITE JOINS OCAA MEN'S SOCCER RANKINGS

TORONTO - Five undefeated teams make up the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) men's soccer Top 5 rankings this week.

1. Humber Hawks (Last Week - 1)
(Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association Rank - 1)

The Humber Hawks (6-0-0) are two wins from an undefeated regular season after picking up home victories over Redeemer last Tuesday and previously-ranked No. 5 Mohawk on Friday.

The key to Humber's success has been keeping the ball out of its net, while spreading out its offence on the other end. In a 3-1 victory over Redeemer, Matthew Rios, Mario Orestano and Yousuf Mohammad all scored. In a 4-0 win over Mohawk, Carlos Rojas, Daniele Clemente, Orestano and Mohammad all scored.

Humber has outscored the opposition 22-2 with nine different Hawks scoring. Humber has a key match on Wednesday at No. 3 Sheridan in a rematch of last year's OCAA gold medal game, won by the Hawks 2-1.

2. Algonquin Thunder (Last Week - 4)
(CCAA Rank - 14)

The Algonquin Thunder (5-0-0) increased their win streak to five games after home wins against George Brown and Centennial last Friday and Saturday.

Jordan Mitchell-Reyes scored a goal in each match, including a 2-1 outcome over George Brown. Abdul Ibrahim scored a pair of goals in a 4-1 win over Centennial.

Algonquin's lone match this week is at No. 4 Seneca this Saturday.

3. Sheridan Bruins (Last Week - 2)
(CCAA Rank - 4)

The Sheridan Bruins (5-0-0) kept pace with OCAA West leading Humber, edging Fanshawe at home 4-3 on Tuesday before defeating Niagara 3-2 on Friday.

David Velastegui scored a pair of goals against Fanshawe. Three different Bruins scored against Niagara, including Nelson Cabral, Jesse Asiedu and Marco Colangelo.

First place in the OCAA West is on the line on Wednesday when Sheridan hosts No. 1 Humber. Sheridan will visit Redeemer on Saturday.

4. Seneca Sting (Last Week - 3)
(CCAA Rank - 12)

The Seneca Sting (3-0-0) have not allowed a goal in three matches this season, defeating Durham at home 5-0 followed by a 1-0 win at St. Lawrence-Kingston on Friday.

Cristian Rodrigues and Kevin Zevallos both scored two goals each against Durham. David Alva scored the game-winner against St. Lawrence.

Seneca plays three matches in five games, beginning with a game at George Brown on Wednesday. Seneca hosts back-to-back matches with No. 2 Algonquin and No. 5 La Cite on Saturday and Sunday.

5. La Cite Coyotes (Last Week - NR)

La Cite Coyotes (3-0-0) remained undefeated on the season, picking up home wins against George Brown on Saturday and Centennial on Sunday.
