ALGONQUIN 1, DURHAM 0

OTTAWA - The Durham College men's soccer team looked impressive on their opening road swing but came out of it with nothing to show as they had two one-goal losses this weekend.

The Lords opened the weekend up with a 2-1 loss to La Cite followed by a 1-0 shutout loss to the Algonquin Thunder on Saturday afternoon.

"Our team looked good this weekend, but a couple of mistakes cost us points," said Durham head coach Stan Bombino. "If we continue to work hard, the bounces will turn in our favour and we will be a tough club to beat."

Adam Farr of Tecumseh recorded Durham's lone goal on the weekend, as he scored in the first half of the game against La Cite.

Both Ottawa teams were in the playoffs last year and are undefeated to start the 2012 season.

Durham (0-2-0) will look ahead to Thursday night when they host the George Brown Huskies (0-1-0) in their 2012 OCAA home opener. Game time at Vaso's Field is 8 p.m.
