DURHAM 1, CENTENNIAL 1

TORONTO - Marco Trotta of the Durham College men's soccer team scored in the 89th minute to give Durham College a 1-1 tie against the Centennial Colts in OCAA men's soccer action.

Trailing 1-0 late in the second half, Trotta (Oshawa, Ont.) struck the ball with his left foot from over forty yards from goal. The ball flew past the on-looking Colts defenders into the back of the net, giving Durham the 1-1 draw.

Trotta has scored four goals in six games, as he leads the OCAA East region in scoring. He also scored in the final minute of the Lords 3-2 win over St. Lawrence.

Centennial had scored 20 minutes into the second half, which seemed to spark Durham's offensive attack. The game winning goal came after Durham had hit the post and crossbar on two different occasions.

The Lords are unbeaten in five games and are sporting a 3-2-2 conference record. Durham is in fifth place, two-points behind the Colts (4-2-1).

Durham will take on Seneca (5-1-1) in their regular season finale on Tuesday, October 9. If the Lords get three points, they will be in position to host a home playoff game.
