ST. CLAIR 1, FANSHAWE 0

The St. Clair Saints men's soccer team continued their hot streak with another upset win on Friday night over the Fanshawe Falcons. The Saints defeated the Falcons by a score of 1-0 in Amherstburg.

Third year player Brian Santos (Cardinal Carter) continued his outstanding play in recent games scoring the only goal of the match at the 10 minute mark of the first half. Smatcantos is now second overall in the OCAA in scoring with seven goals in seven matches.

St. Clair is now tied for first place in the OCAA West Division with Fanshawe with 16 points each. However, since St. Clair defeated Fanshawe in their only head to head match they hold first place. Both teams have five wins, one loss and one tie on the season with one match remaining. The Saints travel to Sarnia on Wednesday afternoon to take on the Lambton Lions while Fanshawe hosts Humber on Tuesday night in London.

Heading into the match Fanshawe was ranked 1st in Ontario and 10th in Canada while St. Clair was ranked 3rd in Ontario and 13th in Canada.
