DURHAM 1, FLEMING 0

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - The Durham College men's soccer team earned three big points on Tuesday night as they defeated the Fleming Knights by a score of 1-0 in Peterborough.

After going scoreless for the first 70 minutes of the game, Durham would finally break the ice when first-year striker Richie Khasow (Ajax, Ont.) scored his first career goal. The goal was assisted by Karter Donnelly (Whitby, Ont.), who sent the ball in the box off a free kick.

Khasow's strike was the lone goal of the game as Durham earned the 1-0 victory. Michael Ashfield (Whitby, Ont.) earned the cleansheet for Durham, stopping every Fleming shot on target. Ashfield has earned a shutout in both of his starts this season.

The loss marks the first blemish on the Knights record, as they entered the match with a pair of 1-0 victories.

Durham is tied with Fleming with matching 2-1-0 records, as they trail Centennial (3-0-0) and Algonquin (2-0-0) in the OCAA East region standings.

The Lords will be on the road on Saturday as they head to Sudbury to take on the Cambrian Golden Shield (0-4-0). Game time is at 2 p.m.
