ST. CLAIR 1, NIAGARA 1

The St. Clair College men's soccer team was on the road this past weekend and came away with four large points.

In the men's match against Mohawk on Saturday, St. Clair came away with a 4-3 win. St. Clair took the early lead in the 12th minute on a goal by Chris Delgado (Cardinal Carter).

The Saints then went up 2-0 when Jordan Lidia (Cardinal Carter) put one past the Mohawk keeper on a nice run in the 26th minute. St. Clair then scored three minutes later on a great strike by Gabriel Poulino (Catholic Central) to make it 3-0.

The Saints made it 4-0 in the 52nd minute on Poulino's second goal of the game.

St. Clair then went to sleep for about five minutes as Mohawk scored three goals to make it 4-3. The men managed to compose themselves after that and hang on for the win.

Shane Beaton (Walkerville) got the win in goal for St. Clair.

On Sunday, the men travelled to Welland to take on the Niagara Knights and came away with a hard fought 1-1 draw.

St. Clair took the lead just before the end of the first half on a nice tally by Luis Cortes (Cardinal Carter). Niagara tied the match up in the 65th minute but neither team could take the lead after that.

Justin Danelon (Holy Names) had a strong game in goal for the Saints turning away several great changes by the Knights.

The men now have one win, one loss and two ties halfway through their regular season in the very competitive OCAA West Division.

The St. Clair men are next in action on Saturday, Sept. 28 when they face the Conestoga Condors at the United Communities Credit Union Complex in Amherstburg at 4 p.m.
