OSHAWA, Ont. - Leaving Sudbury with three points is always a challenge but the Durham College men's soccer team was up to the task on Saturday as they shutout Cambrian 3-0.
Freshman Michael Ashfield (Whitby, Ont.) earned his third straight shutout for the Lords as he stopped everything the Golden Shield had to offer. Ashfield has not allowed a single goal in three games played this season.
Richie Khasow (Ajax, Ont.) reached the score sheet once again, as he has scored in back-to-back games for the green and gold. Also scoring for the Lords was Nicholas Axhorn (Pickering, Ont.) and Kashiff De Jonge (Ajax, Ont.).
The Lords are 3-1-0 in the regular season, sitting in a tie for third place in the OCAA East region with the Seneca Sting.
Durham will host Algonquin (3-0-0) and La Cite (0-5-0) at Vaso's field next weekend.
