ST. CLAIR 3, FANSHAWE 1

WINDSOR, Ont. - The St. Clair men's soccer team remain undefeated in OCAA league action. The Saints hosted the Fanshawe Falcons at the main campus field on Sunday afternoon and came away with a 3-1 win. With the win the men now have two wins and one draw on the season.

Chris Delgado (Leamington, Ont.) got the Saints on the board in the 21st minute. Stefan Milidrag (Windsor, Ont.) put St. Clair up 2-0 in the 30th minute with a goal that hit the bottom on the crossbar but landed inside the goal line.

St. Clair dominated play in the first half but could only manage two goals. The Saints had 12 shot attempts compared to only three for Fanshawe.

Play was much more even in the second half, however, St. Clair iced the match on a penalty kick in extra time by Milidrag. With two goals in this match, the rookie Milidrag now has five goals in three matches.

Fanshawe got on the board on the last play of the game to close the gap to 3-1. Kyle Vizirakis (Windsor, Ont.) was in net for the Saints and made a couple tough saves throughout the match to keep the Saints in the lead.

St. Clair will travel to Sarnia, Ont., on Wednesday to take on the Lambton Lions. Lambton is currently 1-1 on the season.

ANCASTER, Ont. - The Fanshawe Falcons men's soccer team had a tough week losing a pair of close games on the road. The Falcons fell to 0-3 on the season.

On Wednesday night, Fanshawe was on the road at Redeemer College (1-2). Fanshawe held a 2-1 lead with 10 minutes to go but couldn't hold on. The Royals scored on a scramble in front of the net with eight minutes left and then on a penalty kick in the last minute of the game. Redeemer won the game by a final score of 3-2.

The Falcons headed to St. Clair on Sunday night to take on the undefeated Saints (2-0-1). St. Clair jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead that Fanshawe was unable to come back from. The Falcons lost the game by a final score of 3-1.

Fanshawe hosts the Conestoga Condors (0-3) this Wednesday at 5 p.m. at City Wide Soccer Field.
