NIAGARA 3, FANSHAWE 2

WELLAND, Ont. - The Fanshawe Falcons men's soccer team went 1-1 this week, defeating the Conestoga Condors and then falling to the Niagara Knights.

With the win, the Falcons picked up their first points of the season.

On Wednesday, the Falcons hosted the Condors at City Wide Field. Fanshawe controlled the tempo early and jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first half with a pair of goals by Tom Galazka.

Conestoga picked up its energy in the second half and stormed back with two goals of its own but Galazka put in the go ahead goal with two minutes to play. Fanshawe held on to win by a final score of 3-2.

Fanshawe was on the road on Saturday, taking on the Niagara Knights. Fanshawe's Cedric N'Guessan scored two goals for Fanshawe but it wasn't enough as the Knights won the game 3-2.

The Falcons are back on home soil this Saturday to take on the undefeated Sheridan Bruins. The game begins at 2 p.m.
