SHERIDAN 4, FANSHAWE 1

LONDON, Ont. - The Fanshawe men's soccer team was defeated by the undefeated Sheridan Bruins (5-0-1) by a final score of 4-1.

In the 22nd minute, the Bruins struck first. After a good run by Brandon Ladonceur, Sheridan's Khody Eills scored giving the Bruins the 1-0 lead.

Fanshawe came right back and in the 36th minute. Cedric N'Guessan scored in the bottom corner of the net to tie the game at one. At the half, the Bruins led in shots on goal nine to two but the game remained tied at one.

Sheridan came out with more energy to start the second half and in the 50th minute Chritian Kusiewicz scored, giving the Bruins the lead again. The Bruins continued to press and in the 64th minute, David Velastegui buried another, increasing Sheridan's lead.

Chris Di Vizio-Mendes added one more late in the game, and the Bruins went on to win by a final score of 4-1.

Next Thursday, Oct. 2, the Falcons take on the Lambton Lions (2-1-1) at the Fanshawe Soccer Field. The game begins at 5 p.m.
