VAUGHAN, Ont. - The St. Clair men's soccer team hit the road this weekend and came away with a well earned split.

The Saints came up with a huge upset win on Saturday afternoon as they defeated the Sheridan Bruins 3-2. Sheridan are ranked eighth in Canada and were undefeated on the season heading into its final match.

With the loss Sheridan fell to six wins, one loss and one tie on the season. Heading into the match Sheridan had scored 37 goals and only allowed four in seven matches. Goal scorers for St. Clair were Chris Delgado (Leamington, Ont.), Brett Holmberg (Ajax, Ont.) and Stefan Milidrag (Windsor, Ont.).

On Sunday afternoon, St. Clair took on the Humber Hawks and did not fare as well. The Saints ended up losing their first match of the season to the top-ranked Hawks by a score of 4-0. St. Clair ended up playing this match without one of their top defenders, Jamar Kelly, who received a red card on Saturday. Humber is ranked sixth in Canada. With the win Humber ended the regular season in first place with a record of six wins and two ties.

With the split St. Clair ended the regular season in third place in the very tough OCAA West Division with a record of five wins, one loss and two ties. St. Clair is currently ranked 14th in Canada. The Saints will host the Fanshawe Falcons (sixth place West Division) later on this week. The time and location will be confirmed on Monday.
