Schools will play a condensed schedule as the leagues have been divided into four (4) regional pools instead of the traditional East-West format. Most teams will play a double-round robin within its division with the exception of Pool D in Women's Soccer, which with an additional team, will play a single-round robin plus two additional matches. All teams will play six (6) regular season games.

Most of the schedule will feature doubleheaders between schools alternating between men's and women's competition. The long awaited action begins on Friday, Sept. 17 with six matches, and features all three champions from the 2019 season. The defending men's national champion Durham Lords (Oshawa) host the Fleming Knights (Peterborough); the two-time reigning men's provincial champion Humber Hawks (Etobicoke) visit the cross-town rival George Brown Huskies (Toronto); while the two-time defending women's provincial champion Fanshawe Falcons (London) visit the St. Clair Saints (Windsor).

Nearly all of the other OCAA teams will see action the following day, including the Sault Cougars (Sault Ste. Marie) visiting the Seneca Sting (North York); the St. Lawrence Surge (Kingston) hosting the Centennial Colts (Scarborough); the Lambton Lions (Sarnia) entertaining the Conestoga Condors (Kitchener); the Mohawk Mountaineers (Hamilton) battling the Sheridan Bruins (Oakville); and the Niagara Knights (Welland) facing the Redeemer Royals (Ancaster).

The top three teams in each division will advance to the post-season. The first-place teams receive a bye, while the second-place teams will host the third seeds in the first round in interdivisional matches (Pools A vs. B and C vs. D). The winners will then face the first-place teams in the quarter-finals in a similar format.

The semi-finals and OCAA medal matches will be played at designated championship sites from Oct. 30-31. St. Clair College (Windsor) will host the men's championship and Fanshawe College (London) will host the women's.

All OCAA schedules for the 2021-22 season, including dates, times and locations, are subject to change.
