HAMILTON, Ont. - The Mohawk Mountaineers will live another day
in OCAA women’s soccer after a 2-1 win over the Niagara
Knights in a playoff qualifier on Tuesday.
First-year midfielder Ashley Hagen (Ancaster, Ont.) was responsible
for both Mohawk goals. Hagen was the West Division leader in goals
with seven during the regular season.
First-year forward Erin Jennison (Grimsby, Ont.) scored
Niagara’s lone goal. She led the team with two goals during
the regular season.
Mohawk (5-3-1, 1-0 playoffs) will advance to the OCAA quarter-final
against Algonquin College (8-0-0) with the winner earning a berth
in the OCAA soccer championship tournament, Oct. 29-30.
