The Niagara College Knights Women's Soccer team won their first game of the 2011 season with a 2-0 win over the St. Clair College Saints.

After being shutout in their first six games, the Knights were able to turn the table on the Saints at the Welland Soccer Club Sunday afternoon.

First-year Midfielder Julia Lake (St. Catharines, Ont.) would score both goals for the Knights, and first-year keeper Sarah Paton (St. Catharines, Ont.) would record the shutout.

The Knights will face a very tough opponent in their final regular season game. The undefeated Humber Hawks (7-0-0), who are ranked no. 1 in Ontario, and no. 2 in Canada, will battle the Knights Wednesday night at the Welland Soccer Club. Game time is 6 p.m.
