They may be in first place and unbeaten, but Fanshawe's 8-1 win over the Mohawk men in OCAA soccer Tuesday (Oct. 2) at Redeemer was a stunning result for the Mountaineers.

Cedric N'Guessan scored three goals and Younan Samra added two for the Falcons. Matthew Kernick got the lone Mohawk marker, his third of the season.

The Falcons are now 5-0-1 and the Mountaineers are 4-3.

Fanshawe then completed the double, shading the Mohawk women 1-0.

Dayna Ferguson got the game's lone goal in first half stoppage time for Fanshawe, now 5-2. Mohawk is 2-3-2.
