BELLEVILLE, Ont. - Making her return to the Lords line-up, 2012
OCAA all-star Chelsey Rogatinsky (Bowmanville,
Ont.) scored two goals to lead the Durham College women's soccer
team to a 2-0 victory over Loyalist.
The teams went scoreless in the first half, with both teams
trading chances over 45 minutes of play.
In the second half, Rogatinsky would score two goals off free
kicks to give the Lords their first win of the season. It was quite
a bounce back game for the fourth year defender as she was on the
sidelines due to an injury in the teams season opening loss to St.
Lawrence.
Alicia Del Fuoco (Whitby, Ont.) earned a shutout,
as she faced seven crosses and two direct shots over the course of
the game. This was Del Fuoco's first start in between the pipes
this season.
The Lords get back to the .500 mark with the win, as they sit at
1-1-0 in the OCAA East region. The team will now have a quick turn
around for their match against the Centennial Colts (0-1-0) which
is on Thursday night. Kick-off at Vaso's Field is 6 p.m.
